Hi, and welcome to my new blog! As my sub-header would suggest, I am a crafty mom who loves to get her hands dirty with all kinds of stuff--flour, glue, paint, and diapers. Well--I don't love the diapers, but the wee boy who lives in them is pretty cool.

I used 17 different fabrics.
I found the pattern in my local fabric store and got the inspiration for the color scheme from a quilt I saw displayed there. I just completed another quilt for my sister's birthday which I'll post photos of soon.
The last year of my life has been nuts. I went from living in Ireland...
Where they have the most beautiful yarn...

To the Big Island of Hawaii, where I grew up.
Mmmm, I can taste the BBQd tofu dogs and Corona now.
From there, I moved to Madrid, Spain
...where I met and fell in love with my husband. He's eating ribs for the first time in his life here. He's Irish--they don't have ribs in Ireland.
We moved to Northern California last fall. I love it here.
We welcomed our son, Jack Fionn, this January. He rules.
Now I spend most of my days playing with Jack, baking, looking for awesome vegetarian recipes to make for my meat-eating husband, scouring blogs for cool craft ideas and sleeping.
Right now I'm working on a rug made from an old blanket and a knitted neckwarmer. I'm also sitting on what I think will be the best ever apple pie recipe. I'll let you know how it turns out!
